Love others the jesus way

Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Christ. Because He spent His entire life loving others unconditionally, we have the same opportunity. Whether it’s your family, friends or a stranger on the street, let’s use this holiday season to start loving those around us.

Practice peace

There’s no point in promoting peace all over holiday posters, ornaments, and decorations if it’s not practised. You have the chance to be a voice for peace by showing others that peace is attainable even in the midst of chaos. Together we can make the world a better place.

Give back to your community

Many people aren’t privileged enough to treat their families with colourful gifts or delicious feasts during Christmas time. The festive season is the perfect opportunity to give to those less fortunate. Whether you’re giving your time to serve others at local community holiday dinners or food distributions, volunteering, donating to a toy drive or committing to fulfil children home’s a wish list, there are numerous ways to make Christmas special for those in need.

Continue believing

Christmas time teaches us the power of believing. Beliefs are what make the holidays a magical season for so many people. We cherish these beliefs and allow them to bring us happiness, which we should embrace. Continue believing in the things that bring you the most joy, not only this time of year but all year round.

Exercise kindness

Christmas time tends to bring out the best in people, as many stories surface of people going out of their way to be kind to others. However, kindness is a quality that shouldn’t be limited to the holiday season. Use Christmas as a starting point to practice kindness throughout the year ─ whether it be inviting someone over for Christmas dinner who has nowhere else to go or spreading some holiday joy at a nursing home, handing out gifts, and listening to what the residents have to say.
